The next preparatory assembly for the Campaign against the World Bank, Barcelona 2001 will take place this coming May 12 and 13 at the Espai Obert (Open Space), calle (street) Blasco de Garai, 2, in the city of Barcelona.

The campaign is being waged in conjunction with the
Development Conference being held by the World Bank in the City of Barcelona on June 25, 26 and 27, 2001. The campaign's slogan is: "Another World is Possible, Globalize the
Resistance and Solidarity!" The following is a calendar of important activities:

June 16 to 21, decentralized activities
June 22 and 23, Counter-conference
June 24, International Demonstration in Barcelona at 12:00pm
June 25, Actions to Blockade the World Bank Conference
June 27, Trial of the World Bank for Crimes against Humanity and the Environment

Nearly 200 social, political, civic and other organizations from Catalonia and the rest of the Spanish State have signed on to the campaign as of now.

AGENDA FOR THE MEETING

Saturday, May 12

10:00am- Presentation of the meeting, presentation of those present and how they are working, calculation of the numbers who will attend from each group.

11:00am- General information about the campaign and questions
a) in English
b) in Spanish

12:30pm: Information and discussion about housing/discussion about the week of local actions, arrive at collective
proposals for the 16th/ discussion of the trip to Genova

13:30pm: Information about the Legal Code in Catalonia (continuation of any workshops if they haven't finished).

14:00pm: Lunch

16:00pm: Group Discussions about the actions on the 25th and beyond starting from the proposals from the commission. There will be a group on anti-repressive action, a medical workshop...

17:30pm: Plenary Session

18:30pm: Workshop on Speaker Trainings/ Workshop on the Legal
Commission/ Workshop on the Communications Commission/ Gotenburg-Barcelona-Genoa/ other collective proposals.

20:00 - 20:30- Conclusion

Sunday, May 13

10:00am- Counterconference, overall idea

10:30am- Division in groups according to their focus and a workshop on proposals for a post-Barcelona calendar

12:00pm- Plenary and Setting of Objectives

13:00pm- Other pending plenaries/ Coordination PGA-Cochabamba

14:00pm- end of activities
