I salute the courage of the Wombles - it takes a lotta bottle top stand up to the media and police repression and physically get out there to take the blows and risk arrest. It was inspirational when the Wombles arrived - a real surge of excitement and confidence in the crowd. Not bad for starters!Venceremos!

The footage on the BBC & Channel 4 showed the frontline riot police in an absolute brutal frenzy when attacking (repelling my arse) the WOMBLES. I winced as they rained the blows down on you , without your padding they WOULD have killed you. Your courage in the face of such violence is an inspiration all who hold your views, and showed the riot police up for the latent psychos they are.
