Mayday - Harassment Intensifies - Arrests Today

After today's public Womble workshop police stepped up their campaign of harassment, filming and following people. One person was pulled off the streets and arrested for criminal damage (putting up some stickers) while another was hauled into the back of a police van, threatened with arrest, searched, interrogated. Later police entered a pub and arrested two more people, they were taken outside and fully searched - on finding no stickers these two were de-arrested. More to follow...

Arrest out side pub

I was one of the two people arrested in the pub the Intrepid Fox and charged with Criminal damage for supposedly putting up stickers.
The search was unlawful as we had been followed all the way from the Wombles meeting in Hyde park by Plain clothes cops so they could see what we were doing, which was walking to the pub after a long afternoon of Womble stuff in the park.
So they knew that we were not putting stickers up as if they cared about that any way. The search was just an excuse to harrass us and scare us
