PALESTINE SOLIDARITY CAMPAIGN
On April 26th from 11.30 am there will be a vigil outside the Zionist Federation's day-long 53rd Israeli 'Independence' Day celebrations, where the guest speaker is to be Danny Neveh, a minister in Sharon's govt.
The venue is the Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, London WC1 (north side of Russell Sq). Theme: 'Israel in our Hearts.' "This event will give all Israel's supporters in the community an opportunity to stand up and be counted" says the ZF .
The vigil has been arranged at rather short notice by members of PSC who feel it is vital to challenge this event, particularly in the current context of Israel's escalating atrocities. The intention is to have a dignified and peaceful vigil to commemorate all loss of life, land and rights suffered by the Palestinians, send a clear message that 'war criminals are not welcome here' and demand that Israel stop the violence, end the occupation and abide by international law. Please bring placards highlighting opposition to Israel's violations of Human Rights, UN resolutions, Geneva convention etc; names/pictures of razed Palestinian villages and people killed during this intifada and before, calling for justice for Palestine.
