German police guarding Nuke train claim acid attack. Propooganda?

Police anti-protester propooganda tactics:

Dearest CNN,

In reference to the audio clip on your website ( http://europe.cnn.com/EUROPE/) titled "Audio: Protesters Have Threatened Police".
I would suggest more care and fact checking when posting reports like this.
It was mentioned in this audio report (and probably on TV and in print) that police were threatened with "acid".
Maybe it’s true but other articles that mention threatening “vinegar acid” point to a more likely explanation.
I hear that protesters sometimes carry vinegar because when a bandana is soaked in vinegar and worn over the face it protects against Tear Gas.
Thus police have a convenient “weapon” to seize as evidence if they want to fabricate a threat.

Similar threat accusations were made by police and dutifully reported by the media during IMF/World Bank Protests in Washington DC.
The police in DC arrested activists at a convergence center for possessing the ingredients to make homemade pepper spray.
The ingredients were: garlic, onion, spicy peppers, black pepper, and maybe even a little VINEGAR (scary!) - they were found in a KITCHEN!
Could there be another reason for possession of these ingredients?
Yes-a devious plot to feed harmless but hungry protesters these illicit chemicals in order to create Super-Protesters who are somehow no longer hungry and have the ability to repel attackers with something known by law enforcement as the HOT SALSA BREATH OF DEATH.

So look into it next time.
I'll bet you'll find that the accusations are just police proPOOganda.
Oh -oops I forgot that's your job, to pass along police/corporate propaganda.
I keep living in hope that one day you'll get a spine, some integrity, and follow the basic principles of responsible journalism.
Good Luck.

And by the way I use vinegar all the time at home and haven't been injured yet.
But I have to admit sometimes when I serve salads with a vinaigrette dressing I get accused of an ACID attack.
