10% increase in defence spending

In yesterday's budget, the Government increased defence spending from £21 billion to £24 billion, over 10% increase

Absent from mainstream media coverage of the budget was the £3billion increase in the Defence Budget, the first increase for years. The Defence Budget leapt from £21 billion, to £24 billion, an increase of over 10%. You can check this out via the treasury website, accessible via www.open.gov.uk.
Curious readers who want to know what the Defence chaps have in mind for the extra cash may like to phone Ms. Frances Byers (not sure if related to Stephen) at MOD Defence Procurement on 0117 913 2844, or the MOD in London on 020 8218 9000 .
If you think its worth it, it may also be worth phoning whatever newspaper you read to ask them why they haven't covered it.

Presumably this is Star Wars money but anyone got any other ideas what they might do with it?
