Manchester University went back into occupation again on Tuesday, staying for 26 hours until Wednesday afternoon. This is the 2nd occupation at the University in a week. further waves of occupations occured, with Exeter being the latest on the list.
These occupations are generally on the issue of "Grant not Fees", but in Manchester have also centred on the case of one specific student threatened with expulsion for late payment of fees. If this student is expelled, he will also be deported, as he is only in the country on student status, and he faces serious problems if he has to return to his home country.
