Unwitting children have been frightened into signing over their domain names
over to Warner Brothers.

Corporate predators stoop to new lows, harassing and threatening children
and adolescent persons into forfeiting their intellectual efforts and free
speech.


Warner Bothers has been emailing children and adolescents with "fan sites"
pertaining to the Harry Potter books, threatening these young persons with
legal action on the basis of trademark infringement.

Unwitting children have been frightened into signing over their domain names
over to Warner Brothers.

Young persons involved in the Harry Potter fan movement are calling for a
boycott of the Warner Brothers Harry Potter movie, and all merchandise related
to the Warners Brothers film.

Children as young as ten are being subjected to the same harsh penalties as adults. In Inner-City estates they are being targetted by new anti-social behaviour legislation and branded by the government as 'yobs' for relatively minor misdemeanors, such as climbing trees, playing ball, or riding bikes where they shouldn't. For playing too much, they are threatened with the the Crime & Disorder Act and the Criminal justice bill. Facilities for children have been reduced by government cuts and many suffer from boredom. They are under incredible pressure to conform to corporate fashions and accessories, yet are not entitled to benefits and have few job opportunities available. Perhaps we should put more resources into their communities, rather than investing in CCTV and electronic tagging to infringe upon any rights they have left, as children!

Why does no-one in the UK seem to have an opinion they are prepared to share with IMC. Can't they even defend their kids? Even if it's just to say...FUCK WARNER BROTHERS!

does anyone have any more info on this - it should be flagged to the international internet rights campaign - corporations are getting too big for their cyber boots.
