Student revolt

The NUS do not represent the students in this country. They have never supported direct action and refused to support The actions carried out during the student march when a perfect opportunity existed to take 15,000 people through a small number of police to Parliament. They operate within a tight system dictated by party politics and self indulgent
egotism.
On Wednesday the NUS have called a National strike. Yet they have failed to promote the action, or back it with guidelines, recommended actions or information relevant to the subject of education. Their actions are in word only.
They will not support students that are serious about the threat education is under.
Its time to create our own student network independent of the defficient NUS if we are to resist the system. Networks of student activist bodies from different colleges/Uni's will allow for better coordination and response to support actions.
The next time the NUS call a mass action they will get a mass action!!

They are overworked, over stretched and underrepresented
OR
rich, ruling class, focussed solely on a selfish capitalistic dream and want to keep the poor where they can abuse them. Unfortunately the former is massively outnumbered. The latter are hardly going to go out and campaign to get more people from the hard side of the street
and lose all that power. Forget left v right and party politics. It is inherent in mankind to perpetuate oppression.
Good luck but there needs a different spin on this debate.
