Zapatistas march on Mexico City

Starting this weekend 24 delegates from the Zapatistas
are marching to Mexico city. Marcos and
23 of the commadantas will be travelling by a route which
will take them through 13 states (incl. Guerrero, the most
repressive). On the way meetings have been arranged
with a lot of groups and the 24 delegates will also take
part in the National Indigeous Congress.

Although the Zapatista have a technical 'right' to make
this trip under the dialogue laws it is not clear
how the national governments or the various state
govenours will react. Now is a time to mobilise in
support of the march.

To publicise it here in Ireland we are distributing
a poster with quotes from recent communiques, the peace
demands, the route for the march and photos of the 24
delegates.

As an experiment we are making the poster available as
a PDF file on our web page. This means anyone can
print it out and put up copies themselves. It's in
color but it will print out fine in black and
white. It's also suitable for use internationally and
not just in Ireland
