EXTREMIST police commanders are plotting to paralyse
London with violent cop riots 48 hours before the expected general election, to remind everybody just who is in charge.
Unintelligible reports suggest that the Metropolitan
police are recruiting support from neighbouring police forces to choke the capital on May 1. They intend their cop riots to spill over to election day. In a rare demonstration of intelligence, police have learned to read public internet discussion lists. There are fears that
police ring leaders are intent on causing more trouble than at last years May Day, when a small band of peaceful gardeners was vastly outnumbered by Stasi-style cop squaddies in full riot gear.
Sir Chief Cop Mason Overlord of the Metropolitan police, said that he was drawing up plans to cancel all police leave over May Day and is considering arming his coppers with semi-automatic machine guns. "We will not tolerate
peaceful protest," he said, "Our boys need a riot. It's wot they are trained for, innit?"
He has been shown unintelligible reports on how police commanders and government ministers want to exploit the timing of their May Day cop riot to embarrass the global movements for social and environmental justice. "We'll
have no justice here," said one bit of paper that could have been written by anybody.
The Metropolitan police are urging violent coppers from neighbouring forces to join in because of the pro-cop publicity that can be expected from the Corporate-controlled media so close to a general election. "If it moves shoot, and shoot to kill" said some other bit of
paper that may or may not have anything to do with May Day.
Police blood lust for a ruddy great ruck is shared by government ministers who like nothing better than seeing people beaten into submission. "What they kill, we will eat" it said somewhere. Every security agency in the
country has been told to concentrate its efforts on
generating a climate of fear and hatred in the run up to the cop riot. "Where's my truncheon?" said a top cop.
Sir Overlord said that if necessary he would borrow mentally-unbalanced officers with a record of violent and dangerous behaviour from neighbouring forces to reinforce his own band of thugs. Last year the police planned to break loads of heads, but they were thwarted by women and children playing and planting seeds in the sunshine. This year he said that the Yard had drawn up contingency plans.
"If anybody's going to damage property or attack people it's going to be us," Sir Overlord said.
The problem with the police and other intelligence services is that they protect the interests of the bosses, the government and other toadies.
The belief is that the cops will be protest at a well-known, symbolic London venue, which will be advertised on the Internet -but the real trouble will come from breakaway groups that will roam the capital shooting at anything
that moves. "We live in a police state, so let's make sure it looks like one," it said.

Mayday Media article from OFFLINE
11.04.2001 12:38
http://uk.indymedia.org/display.php3?article_id=2274
The corporate media is once again starting a hysterical campaign of misinformation in the run up to demonstrations and actions planned for Mayday 2001. In a spooky repetition of last year surprisingly similar stories have appeared in various newspapers over recent weeks.
Last year Mayday saw a three-day conference, various peaceful actions against the Terrorism Bill (now in force), critical mass bike rides, and the large Guerrilla Gardening event in Parliament Square. Months before the day articles started appearing (many in The Sunday Times) claiming that extremists were planning more violence than had been seen at the huge J18 demonstrations in the City of London in 1999, claiming that on Mayday thousands of violent extremists would take to the streets carrying pitchforks and scythes. As Mayday appeared the frequency of articles appearing increased until one would be forgiven for thinking that some apocalyptic bloody revolution on a grand scale was planned with military style precision - instead the plans afoot were actually to spend the day gardening, planting seeds and flowers with small plastic trowels (a fact that was obvious to anyone who looked at any of the associated websites or email mailing lists or attended any of the public meetings).
Just before the day itself the Evening Standard ran the headline 'Army On Standby' thus completing the media campaign to create a climate of fear around the gardening event. The press had already proclaimed the outcome of the day before it had even happened and ensured that a good deal of the public were primed to expect one of the most violent riots ever seen on mainland Britain. Having created this framework the press were duty bound to follow through and complete their incredible story (or face looking rather silly).
While people peacefully gardened and danced around a maypole in parliament Square, journalists scuffed their shoes and looked bored. Later in the day when a Macdonald's restaurant was damaged the press found their story - tying this together with graffiti on the Cenotaph their coverage over the following days blew these events out of all proportion such that one would believe a large scale riot had occurred on Mayday, when infact these incidences were isolated in the context of the whole day.
Recent press coverage over the last few weeks now refer back to events on Mayday 2000 as 'the Mayday Riots' - effectively re-writing history, and setting the stage for another round of extraordinary claims presented as fact. And so to the latest 'facts' the press would have you believe...
Just like last year the newspapers have reported that 'violent extremists' are planning violence on a scale bigger than the City demonstrations on June 18th 1999 (quite how this is possible considering the Mayday events are much smaller than the J18 demonstrations is anyone's guess).
They have also said 15,000 'hardcore European anarchists and' (somewhat sinisterly) 'terrorists' will travel to London for Mayday - again an astonishing claim presented as 'inside intelligence' (even the huge protests in Prague last year against The World Bank could not draw that number of protestors, let alone that many 'hardcore anarchists' or 'terrorists').
Other parallels with last years so called 'reporting' include the story, pitched in a sinister way, that groups are using the Internet to communicate and advertise the Mayday protests - yes there are webpages and email lists where people are discussing the issues, but the point is that these are open to everyone to see and are not some sinister dark development.
Another interesting feature of recent reports is the claim that this year's Mayday events will actually be THREE DAYS of violence designed specifically to disrupt the general election. However the truth is that Mayday was always planned to be a protest irrespective of any election, and that indeed the election date itself is still far from certain.
Recent stories have also reiterated claims that all police leave will be cancelled inside and around London and that the army may be put on standby - is anyone getting the feeling of deja vu here? Once again events on Mayday are being built up in the corporate media, giving the public the impression that planned violence is the aim of the entire event. Whatever happens on Mayday this year you can be sure the issues and reasons for protest will receive little attention, while the corporate media will just press ahead and run the story they already seem to have decided upon.
Perhaps this is all part of the publicly stated 'war of attrition' against campaigning and direct action groups, declared by government after the June 18th demonstration in 1999, perhaps it just part of the corporate media's laziness and profit driven sensationalism - whatever the root cause (they're all interlinked anyway), you can be sure that the only rational reporting of Mayday events will come from the alternative media, and it seems that never before has it been so necessary.

I am a final year graphic design student nearing completion of my course. I see the effects of greed all around me and i want to make a peaceful protest. I have never done anything like this before, so i need some moral support.
If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated.
