On Monday 29 January there was still 121 foreigners detained in Switzerland as a result of the protests against the WEF in Davos.

The Swiss police had not given any concrete details on the arrested; how many they were, where they were being kept, countries of origin, etc...until the afternoon of Monday. The only thing we knew here in Usurpa (Barcelona) is that six of these arrested were part of the contingent which travelled from Catalunya in the free train. The Swiss authorities eventually announced that some detainees would be released and taken to the border yesterday Tuesday and the rest today Wednesday 31st.

In the last couple of days there has been a series of demonstrations outside Swiss embassies all over Europe protesting against police brutality in Switzerland and demanding the immediate release of all these arrested last weekend. Around 30 people concentrated outside the Swiss Consulate in Barcelona on Monday demanding an interview with the Swiss Consul, and on Tuesday there was another
demonstration outside the Swiss Consulate for the immediate release of all those still in police stations.Today Wednesday there is a call for people to gather at El Prat aeroport (Barcelona) to welcome the last Spanish activists deported from Switzerland.
