Channel 4 are producing an 'alternative news' programme, broadcast on Tv and the internet.

Channel 4 are producing an 'alternative news' programme, broadcast on Tv and the internet. They have approached undercurrents for stories. They have agreed to allow undercurrents full editorial control in producing 3.5minute features not covered in the mainstream press.

Yes we know that it is the mainstream media and Yes we know we can't trust them as far as we can kick them but undercurrents will do all we can to influence the programme makers.

If anyone has a campaign they want featured then drop me a line and we will submit ideas and negotiate how we can use the programme for social change.

mainstream media.....

sure it's terrestrial and intrested in corporate advertising as a form of income but c4 has it's exceptionally weird moments. it's not like they're getting Sky News to make a documentary, is it?

it's either that or have some obscure sat channel make a programme and then find no bugger watches it. like, i dunno, on rapture (bleah) or MTV-2.

Excellent

This sounds great. Will it be prime time or late night like all the other good Channel 4 programmes (Spy TV, The Other Side, Vids, Bits etc)?

There's only one holocaust!

While the mainstream news are having their annual 'Holocaust Day' lest we forget...(how could we, it's the only topic taugh in schools anymore and broadcast daily on the Discovery and History channels) Lets not forget the other 'holocausts' although they are not officially recognised as such. The Terror of the Revolutions, the horror for all in World WAR 1, & 11, Crimea, Vietnam, Cambodia, the killing fields of Angola, Uganda, Rwanda, the Congo etc. etc... But most of all, the genocide currently ongoing in Sudan, where two million have died in the last decade, and two million are displaced. Where the ancient Nuba Tribe are having missiles rain down on their mud huts. It never gets a mention in the 'news' perhaps CH.4 could do a three minute programme on that?

Cynical
