3:37pm EST Reports that plainclothed police officers are making arrests just off the parade route, for no apparent reason, except for perhaps the way people are dressed. Details still coming in.

3:32pm EST Motorcade is rushing past the areas that are filled with protestors. The President usually stops at 5th and Penn to wave at the crowd, but since the crowd here is over-whelmingly of the opinion that Bush stole this election, this long-standing tradition will have to be forsaken.

3:27pm EST On 9th & Penn ther are a smaller number of protestors. Reports coming in that cops are targeting them here, jumping over barricades to attack them. Unconfirmed rumour of teargas being used against them.

3:25pm EST Motorcade passing 2nd and Constitution Avenue right now. Protestors massively outnumber Bush supporters here. Almost no pro-Bush signs are visible. Lots of Booing and plenty of signs that read "Bush is a Racist", "Supreme Coup"

2:33pm EST 100's of protestors are reported to be taking down flags and pushing aside barricades at Navy Memorial at &th and Penn.

1:48pm EST 100's of black block demonstrators have rushed through police baricaeds are are now sitting in Penn. blocking the parade route. police seem to be preparing for mass arrests.

1:42pm EST Hundreds of pro-Bush supporters celebrated their victory outside the Supreme Court this morning, cheering and saluting to the thousands of elderly, rich, white Republicans that streamed into the Capitol to watch their leader be sworn in. Signs unabashedly commanded people to "KNEEL" before King George" and VP Cheney.
Later, anti-bush protestors were allowed into the vicinity to chant at the crowds "Why are you so afraid to count all the votes....why are you always wearing those damn fur coats"

1:30pm EST Revolutionary anti-authoritarian Black Block were followed by cops in police cars all morning. Black block members, numbering in the 500's, slowed traffic down by walking in the streets, and dragged newspaper kiosks into the streets in front of the police cars. Cops got out of cars and surrounded protestors on sidewalk, slowly closing in the circle pushing people together. They refused to let anyone out, including reporters, and when some tried to break through police lines, they were hit by batons. One girl was directly punched in the eye by an officer.
