Bellingham shuts down Army Recruiting Center

19.01.2001 02:08

About fifteen to twenty protesters arrived at the Army Recruiting Center in Bellingham, WA, USA on the morning of January 16, 2001. No one joined the military in Bellingham on that morning because the center was immediatly closed and left deserted. The notice placed on the door informed the US government that they are violating human rights in Iraq. Protesters were intending to enter the center and discuss both the seige on Iraq as well as the use of depleted uranium weapons. The local police responded promptly by driving their prisoner bus past the protesters and posting two obvious police and a few other officers in the vicinity. No confrontations occured. The dedicated people who were present were laughing and smiling at the obvious fear that the military persons displayed. We were honored to join protesters across the planet in rememberance of the dignity of the people of Iraq and the USA and to honor all humans' rights.

do not you ever worry

we are conscious of the responsability we have solely by the fact of where we are. drunk as i am at such a time i can tell you that nobody around the globe feels the decadence of the time as much as we do. and we are determined to resurge like a jew, or a phenix or, perhaps, like an india warrior. come and report us next time. pity that authoritiy of authorities would never allow such a meeting as the wto to be held here: we know...

capitalist scum and the government

We all know that the reason why we don't hear real news is because the government has 'agreements' with the media. Well most of it anyway. It disgusts me to think that most people in this f**king country don't know whats going on or doing but don't know enough about it to really give a damn. I would just like to say that I hope this site continues to grow and I will spread the word of its 'real news.'
