Marxist-Leninist Theory and Practice, part 2
Majdur, Marxist-Leninist Newswire | 15.01.2001 05:18
In short, we do not have this guiding "Thought" which is so critical to producing revolution in this country. But the main question remains, if Bob Avakian is incapable of developing a guiding Thought which would put Marxism-Leninism-Maoism into practice in this country, should we still be supporting him internationally?

In an earlier response to Majdur's posturings I criticised his/her pretensions to Marxist analysis. Rather than cover the same ground again I will limit myself to a few observations. First, words are not numbers and language is not mathematics. To write down; Marx + Lenin + Stalin + Mao + Gonzalo + Majdur = truth, is as meaningless as writing; Jesus + Peter + Paul + Augustine + the Pope = truth.
The comparison is apt since in both cases we are dealing with the sterile "logic" of a theocratic and bureaucratic mindset. Once again we are on the blood soaked terrain of "revealed truth". Of course Majdur will deny this, citing his invocation of "practice" as the material base for his/her judgements. Unfortunately for Majdur, his/her own argument invalidates this defense.
According to Majdur, Gonzolo thought is correct because it accepts the Maoist principal of "peoples war", putting it in practice in the killing fields of Peru. Note, the strategy is not judged in terms of the concrete outcome but rather in terms of its subjugation to a pre-existing theoretical notion. The fact that Gonzolo is in prison and that the Shining Path has been bypassed by the mass movement is simply ignored. No amount of windy rhetoric, no piling up of empty phraseology will conceal this from critical observation.
As for Majdur's ramblings about class structure in the US, they are certainly less inane than those of Bob Avakian. But that's hardly an accomplishment since Avakian is utterly clueless on the subject. Majdur's own inadequacy is best illustrated by his hypothetical opposition of a environmentalist against a tree-chopping anarchist. The slightest knowledge of the actual situation in the US today would have precluded such silliness.
