On 6 December the federal budget will be enacted in the Austrian
parliament. The proposed budget is a budget full of cruelty. It is
directed against the poorest in Austria, against women, against
immigrants. Workers and the unemployed, schoolchildren and
university students, the elderly and young people, singles and
families: all those who already are in disadvantaged positions are
facing further economic burdens. The money generated this way is
used for the military and for even higher profits for already rich
businesses.

CHECKPOINT AUSTRIA is a public protest sponsored by all
democratic forces in Austria: on December 5th, we will stop the
traffic on roads all accross Austria in order to make it very clear
that we are no longer ready to put up with policies of dishonesty
and crookery.

The policies of this Austrian government are unsocial,
educationally retrogressive, racist, sexist and militarist.
Therefore our only demand against the government is this:
RESIGN!
