Erroneous Report

Schwarzschild | 24.11.2000 16:04

Embarrassed but relieved to state that alleged abolition of Mayday may not occur after all.

Thursday morning news broadcasts seemed to be in no doubt that Mayday was to be "transferred", and I reported accordingly in good faith, together with my opinions on the reason for the move. However, by evening the story had been "amended" to the Spring Bank Holiday, which normally occurs at the end of May. By midnight it was being reported that there would be an "extra" holiday for June 2001.
Of these, the second appears to be the most accurate, although dont take my word for it. I'm going to lie down for a bit (until New Year) and hope to wake up in a much better world.

Yes, the reports on BBC I heard were all saying this was an 'extra' holiday, so I wondered wether this was the case, or wether the mainstream simply couldn't be bothered about mayday, and reported straight spin.
Either way, I don't plan to work on mayday...
