Nonviolent Action Against the Economic Sanctions on Iraq - This Saturday
Voices in The Wilderness | 23.11.2000 13:37
After 10 years of economic sanctions hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians have been killed by the US/UK's own weapon of mass destruction.
Whether Bush or Gore's lawyers win the US presidency, both men have pledged to continue the sanctions and prolong the suffering of the Iraqi people.
Meet this Saturday at 1pm, outside the American Embassy in London, in Grosvenor Sq. garden (nearest tube - Bond St) to show your support for the innocent victims of the sanctions. Please wear black and bring flowers if possible.
Whilst the action will involve nonviolent civil disobedience, there will be other roles for those not wishing to risk arrest. We will be providing nonviolence training and legal briefings on Friday at 7 - 9.30pm, Conway Hall, Red Lion Sq. (nearest tube - Holborn)
