Dear Mr. O'Donoghue
It has ben brought to my attention that you intend to deport, Barbara Gtowacka, a Polish Roma woman from Ireland early next week.
Barbara sought asylum in Ireland, from the persecution and attacks on herself and her home by skinhead neo-fascist youth, in Poland.
She is suffering from flashbacks and nightmares following these attacks and is also receiving hospital treatment for injuries sustained when she was knocked down by a car. She will not be able to continue this treatment if she is returned to her country.
If she is forcibly deported from Ireland, she has no home to return to, no means of supporting herself and no protection from further attacks.
She is a respectable woman who deserves your support. She is not a beggar or a criminal, but a woman with a desire to be allowed to live in peace and contribute to Irish society.
Your government is currently spending massive amounts of money to bring 10,000 foreign workers a year into Ireland for the next six years.
To deport Barbara whilst bringing thousands of other people in would be manifestly unjust.
Please allow Barbara Gtowacka, to remain in Ireland.
Yours Sincerely
