Greenpeace activists freed after Greek protest

13 Greenpeace activists arrested during protests against genetically engineered food in Greece have been acquitted by a judge in Athens.

Last August protesters spent a night chained to the entrances of Soya Hellas in the village of Psahna, about 60 miles north east of Athens.

They blocked trucks from entering and leaving the factory, which imports genetically modified soya products.

Police arrested 14 people as a result of the protest. The head of the Greenpeace offices in Greece, Stelios Psomas, will be tried later.
