Weaving

Integrating spirituality and politics.

Spiritual and political are the same thing, not two. The effectiveness of direct action is enhanced when the individual is unified; not experiencing a separation of the aspects of life. This feeling of separateness is a delusion. When the mind itself is absorbed in the activity of the moment, disunity is not experienced. It is nowhere.
So what is the basis of this problem of preferences, compartmentalizing, categorizing, defining one thing as spiritual and another as political?
The weaver takes different strands and interlaces them to create fabric. The weaver of spirit and politics creates the fabric of unity in society. This work is the alternative to social alienation, homelessness, poverty amidst plenty, and the disintegration of families. It is also control of the mind, having it "woven" with body and spirit, hence centered and content. Extending ourselves, we embrace others for social harmony. This heals the loneliness and misery of social alienation, and positively affects the contemporary wasteland of hyper-consumerism.
Drumming in a circle. Dancing in a spiral pattern. Sharing food. Creating community relevant theater. Making puppets. Dissolution of the concept of audience and performers...no more audience...only participants.
October 31st is the Witches New Year. Go out and do something special that night!
