Student Mobilization

A call to help the students in UK in their demonstration against the system that is taking away their right to education

On the 15th of November (Wednesday), at 12:00 on Malet street, London, 15,000 students are going to assemble and march through London in protest against the imposition of fees and ending of the student grant. Many students, fed up with the compliant nature of the NUS are currently networking towards staging direct actions on the day in order to establish their message of defiance against the system that imposes such policies.

The students reconise the links between the loss of their higher education and the present trends in Europe and abroad towards a neo-liberal economy where all public services will be in the hands of private owners. It has happened in many third world countries too poor to fight the IMF demands (Tanzania this summer), it is happening in America and it is happening here.

Many students are for this reason now networking towrds creating a significant front that we now call on other groups to join. It is generaly understood that the students in Britain are a complacent lot! Events like S26 are now changing that view.

Please join us on the day either as part of the march or in independent actions. We need solidarity.

thanks
