Official confirmation has been received from an official inside the building that nobody is permitted to leave at present.
The stated aim of the protesters to trap and keep delegates within the centre itself has been successful. An officical working in the conference centre told an IMC reporter that she had been instructed to remain within the building - only press were being permitted to film the protests taking place in the valley overlooked by the centre.
It is unclear when police will allow people within tht ecentre to leave. With several police lines breached and confirmed reports that several protesters entered the building it is apparent that the campaign to "lock people in - not keep them out" has paid off.
