Esta tarde, desde las 18 hasta las 22 h, se realizó en Barcelona una multitudinaria manifestación contra la globalización económica.
Manifestación en Barcelona
Partió del barrio de Gràcia y estuvo amenizada por un grupo de tambores y dos camiones con equipos de sonido que alternaban música y consignas. Durante el trayecto se hicieron diversas acciones, pintadas y siliconadas en bancos y cadenas de comida-basura, y, como es costumbre en estas manis, se decoró la ciudad con frases alusivas a la lucha anticapitalista. Tras completar un largo recorrido por las principales arterias del centro comercial de la ciudad, casi la mitad de las mas de 5000 personas que la componían, llegaron hasta Les Drassanes, donde esperaban los 5 autobuses que intentaran llegar a Praga.

The demonstration started in the Gracia district of the city, and a samba band and two mobile sound systems on lorries which combined music with anti-globalisation slogans, added a carnival spirit to it.
Along the route of the demonstration several action and performances were realised. Also several banks and fast-food chains had their locks blocked with silicone. And, as it has become a custom in these demonstrations, the streets along the route of the protest were decorated with anti-capitalist graffiti.
After having completed the route along the principal streets of the commercial centre of the city, over half of the 5000 plus demonstrators carried on with the protest until arriving in Les Drassanes, where 5 buses bound for Prague for the anti-IMF and WB protests, were waiting for them.
