Photo taken on Southsea Common during the 7th Annual Portsmouth Smokey Bears Picnic last Sunday 13 August 2000.
PC2956 (note: this was a wrong number->PC2256) - member of one of two police surveillance teams. This guy had a miniature camera cellotaped to his ear.

Nice one Smokey Bear people! Love the postings and the piccies - particularly this one. It's interesting to see their attempts at subtle disguise - police cutbacks might be as severe as they're claiming then.

I was at the picnic and jotted down the numbers of the surveillance teams and some arresting officers. The number I had for this guy was 2956, not 2256. Who's right? The copper with a camcorder was 2244 accompanied by 2807.
