Die-In for the People of Iraq. Whitehall Brought to Standstill!

Monday, 7 August, 1 - 2 Pm. Voices In the Wilderness Protest Against Sanctions and Bombing of Iraq outside No. 10.

Marching to the sound of a tocsin funeral beat, Voices in the Wilderness slow marched from Trafalgar Sq to the residence of the British Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street.
About 200 people then staged a 'die - in', a method used much by CND in the 1950s, lying down in the middle of the road, by the much-talked of Cenotaph, that glorification of pointless killing.
As always in these days of Blair's 'National Moral Purpose' , the police presence was heavy, and at least one young pacifist protester was hurt.
There's a fairly good set of photos for this, and i'll try to get them to IMC asap.
