The Queer Mutiny Northern Spring Gathering

If you didn't know already there will be a BIG Queer gathering/Meet up in Leeds on the 10th-12th of March, This is the programme so far... more will be added... BUT its the 'plan' so far...

Last Sunday, around 50 people from numerous social centres across the UK gathered at the Common Place social centre in Leeds to discuss what we are doing and how we can work together as a network. A brief report follows.

This weekend at the Commonplace social centre in Leeds promises to be kerrazee with three days of jam-packed fun, frollicks and politics.

The latest stage in what is starting to look like a powerful grassroots campaign to stop the Comprehensive Regeneration Option (the PFI project) to demolish, rebuild and gentrify their council estate.

A report of Saturday's anti-asbo action and details on the next organising meeting.

Tenants and residents of Little London estate in Leeds are stepping up their fight to stop the council turning their run-down community into a PFI-gentrified no-go zone for the poor. And they are asking for the support of as many as possible in Leeds

You think we're all just a bunch of middle class do-gooders escaping from actual social struggles. You're right. But today at The Common Place, we are dedicating our cinema and talks to class struggle in Britain over the centuries. Alas, the L'pool Dockers can't make it but we'll wack on another film.
