An urgent call-out has been made for people who can get to a short-notice anti-war protest in Brighton – Wednesday June 22, at Peace Statue on Brighton/Hove seafront, 11.30am.
It is particularly insulting of the authorities to beat the blood-stained old drum of British imperialism in a city with Brighton’s anti-war credentials.
Say organisers: "We aim to keep it dignified, non-provocative, with a banner calling for troops home and end the war and a leaflet spelling out we're not against the troops per se, but the warmongers. "
