Pandemic flu's that kill millions of people have been firmly linked to cross overs from pigs in 1918 & poultry in other pandemics, why isnt the meat industry restricted instead of being massively financially supported?

This has got to be the issue that really makes the public think seriously about the health benefits of not eating meat & hopefully stop the subsidy of meat industry & to support health & the environment
