Can you perhaps give the name of the community policemman/woman then? is there any proof that this person(s) said that?

I live about 6 miles from the stirling Eco Village site. I'd like to present a view from a local person involved in the protests of the site.
What was very impressive about the camp was:
- solar and wind power
- the "village" organisation
- composting toilets
- contact with local allotments to supply them with vegetable waste for compost
- a sense of fun
What was less than impressive was:
- smashing up parts of the local community. This is a bit stupid. Even if this is seen as a good tactic, you don't do it a couple of miles from where you are staying. Bannockburn is a poor, working class area. Smashing bits of it up (or allowing that perception) alienated good local people.
- Paranoia. I was down at the camp a few times and made a few friends. Now, I admit that I look and dress like a complete square but that's no need for the antagonism. I think that perhaps because some people don't dress in official protest uniforms, you shouldn't just label them as agents of the state! let's face it, under cover cops are likely to look more like your typical anarchist than anything else!

I ferried a lot of people from the site up and down to Aucterarder, uniformly they were good people who shared the values of a lot of locals. The camp was a literal demonstration of what a healthy and vibrant future could be like. Despite the bannockburn escapade and the eco fashion fascism ;o) , you would be welcome back.
