The "unexpectedly high number" of people meant that the start of the march was severely delayed for most people. Many people claimed to have been stuck at the start for up to two hours, with very little information given out as to the cause.
Still, underway the mood was pretty positive (well why would you do it otherwise...?) and people kept that way by the numerous drumming ensembles.
Back in the field there was entertainment on the stages, vast consumption, and plenty of litter.
This will certainly have got the G8 quaking in their boots.
