G8 Media Planning to Hype Violence (short info report) Fox TV + Dailies

Not that this will come as a shock to anyone who knows the priority of some media corporations. However it's worth noting the following:

Photo agencies have recently been getting large numbers of requests from national daily newspapers for library photos that show 'violent anarchists' or 'violent protestors'. Expect a glutch of lurid propaganda stories in the coming week, including some more 'infiltration' style nonsense pieces.

Meanwhile TV networks have been busy looking for camera locations to film the protests from. In Edinburgh, representatives from Fox TV News have been looking for camera locations around Princes Street, and are said to be more interested in filming 'the violence of protestors' than in covering the issues.

Of course, only dramatic events seduce TV audiences. Why worry? All of our major freedoms against our dominent masters have been won by what they and thier serfs like to term 'violence', which covers a wide range of activities, including gently touching a policeperson. How else is legitimate dissent to be countered by those in control except by draconian measures? Peaceful protest is all very well and quite commendable but please don't expect it to appear on TV screens.

Look at all the shit we in the animal rights movement have had to put up with over the last nine months courtesy of the media. Any mention of a laboratory animal suffering in a cage? Not Once!

Simply put, it's called DEMONISATION ... rather obvious really.

'gently touching a police person' - don't like the sound of that.
