Genoa Anniversary Film Screenings:
The Indymedia screening of: Genoa - Red Zone

July 19-24 marks a year since the bloody anti-G8 demonstrations took place in Italy. Indymedia UK presents 'Genoa: Red Zone' - a hard-hitting film which presents the real story of those brutal Italian days of protest. Eight months in the making with a cast of thousands this hour-long documentary does not shy from the truth.

Staggering images of violence provide gritty realism yet the beauty of resistance shines through. Despite the repression, a multitude of voices were heard in Genova: Landless Peruvian peasants stood side by side with Sicilian cheese farmers; national boundaries were overturned as an global body of people demanded a world built on social and environmental equality. That flame - it appears - is impossible to extinguish.

Blank leaflet - for your screenings

A leaflet with a blank area so you can add your own venue etc...
down load the pdf. and print out on A4 paper - then photocopy the same text on the reverse... This should cut up into 4 x A6 leaflets

There's a demo on 19th july outside Italian Embassy at 4.30pm Grosvenor Square, London.

I think globalise resistance are showing another of the films made by the 'famous italian directors' on the 19th as well.

Look forward to seeing the indy one though.
