Vegan food activists from Midlands Vegan Campaigns today ventured out of our own territory and in to Oxford, to the city`s first ever Free Vegan Food Fair. Did we go merely to fill our faces with the vast and assorted range of delicious free food on offer? No!! We went to lend a helping hand and to find out how food fairs elsewhere compare to those we`ve organised.

Sweaty Bolox - request for pics of new piece on M40 :)

A small group of pixies traveled along the M40 yesterday for a bit of painting and decorating. A fence was lovingly adorned with the words 'SWEATY BOLOX', with warped and dripping Olympic rings in the middle, ooozing yuk and dripping blood. Read more >>

Climate campers target mining corporation

An affinity group from Thames Valley Climate Action, inspired by this year's climate camp, occupied the lobby of BHP Billiton today, supergluing themselves to the doors and windows and climbing onto part of the architecture. After several hours, they managed to negotiate leaving without any arrests. Read more >>

Oxford Climate Action Spin The Spinners!

Oxford Climate Action activists have today
blockaded the headquarters of Edelman PR. They arrived at 9:30 to
protest the PR giant's collusion with E-On in "greenwashing" its
proposed Kingsnorth power station development. Several protestors
gained access to the firms offices. Others outside climbed onto the
roof to unfurl a banner reading "Edelman: Spinning The Climate Out
Of Control" as another colourful contingent spoke to
passers by about the protest. MP John MC Donnell has also dropped by to lend his support. Read more >>

Oxford Groups ask politicians to stop ignoring aviation

On Saturday in Carfax, passersby saw a larger than life Gordon Brown covering his eyes while playing with an aeroplane - hoping that aviation emissions will just go away. Oxford Friends of the Earth (FoE) and World Development Movement (WDM) joined forces as part of the 'Big Ask' National Day of Action to ask Gordon Brown and local MPs Andrew Smith and Evan Harris to stop ignoring aviation. A Female Protester has sealed herself into a tunnel under a hill upon which the Rath Lugh National Monument is positioned to stop construction of the M3 Motorway near the Hill of Tara. 100 protesters have now joined the protest at Rath Lugh.
