The last few days of the Geneva II peace talks took place under the shadow of US arms transfers to Syrian rebels, with a lot of fear that the US was trying to undermine the deal. The talks ended with no deals, but a plan to resume mid-February.
Rebels are reporting that virtually the moment the talks ended, the US started pumping hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash to rebel commanders in Jordan. The money was given on condition that they “pressure Assad”

This is not a 'civil war', this is an external equiped and financed invasion. It is illegal by the Nuremberg Trials, the Geneva Conventions of war, the United Nations Charter and the numerous resolutions of the U.N. General Assembly forbidding nations from attacking Syria, as Syria is a paid up member of the United Nations, and the UN Charter says that the UN is formed to make war just a long distant memory for the comming generations. So much for U.S. Government disbelief in the anti-fascist side of the second world war.
It is the anti-fascist fighters that made the covenants and charters for liberation away from the militarization of the nations and world economy. What this means is that the netherlands and the U.S. and Turkey installing WMD missles of mass destruction on the border of Syria, are aiding and abetting the Supreme Worst War Crime on the entire planet of the Earth in planning and doing of aggressive war against the Syrian nation and people,
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also guilty of spreading, training, equiping and pushing external mercenaries, with collusion of Zionist Israeli Imperial destruction of the Syrian people an nation. All of these supreme worst crimes on Earth are being fought to the end by the Syrian people, the Syrian elected govenment, and Syrian armed forces.
The cause of the Syrian people is that they fight for independence and freedom which allows them the Syrian people to decide the governance of the Syrian peoples. The assad forces have seventy percent by democratic vote of popular support for that progam of liberation from foreign backed killer death squads sent by NATO, U.s Imperialism, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The liberation from such unjust violence caused by the foreign Imperialist camp followers is recongnized by Russia, the Peoples Republic of China, Republic of Iran, and all organized labour globally.
