Tausende demonstrieren täglich gegen die Macht des Geldes und die Ohnmacht der Politik. Die Polizei malt das Schreckgespenst der Londoner Aufstände an die Wand und setzt Pfefferspray gegen Aktivisten ein. Auch Promis lassen sich am Ort des Protests blicken. Der Aufruf zum Umsturz ertönt als Sprechgesang. "Nieder mit der Wall Street", ruft eine Demonstrantin im Superman-T-Shirt. "Nieder mit der Wall Street", gellt es aus Dutzenden Kehlen zurück.

Die bärtigen Männer und tätowierten Frauen, die sich in einem kleinen Park am Rande des Finanzviertels versammeln, haben einen Weg gefunden, das Soundanlagen-Verbot zu überlisten, mit dem die Behörden ihren Protest ersticken wollten. "The People's Microphone" nennen sie ihre Methode. Wer etwas zu sagen hat, spricht ein paar Worte. Dann springt der Chor der Zuhörer ein und wiederholt das Gesagte.
