there is a campaign to re-open investigations re "9/11", quite seperate from this "remember each eleventh" campaign, but they are holding a peaceful 24 hour - 7-day commemoration in grosvenor square, london, where the USAs embassy is here. There is also a good "official" memorial site there. . . . the flowers have grown into it more this year, its a special place in its own way.
The campaign does not intend to disrupt it, or those who attend it, in the slightest.
Political, mainstream types should think how they might react if new information WAS to suddenly challenge, in fact, irrevocably alter "official versions", as has happened so often in the past 100 years. . . . cheers to all, good luck.
For all their differences, the "Obama/Biden/Mccain/Palin" tickets seem to at least hold out the hope that they might - but there are reasonable doubts.
First - the good news. Both ran against their own party establishments, tasted "stitch-ups" used against them, then said they were going to do things in a different way.
McCains partners adoption of a kid from the subcontinent to fast-track its cleft palate operation was used against him by the present administrations spinners to say that he was the father of a black kid born out of wedlock, product of some dodgy affair !
Palin DID actually resign from the oil industry oversight board in Alaska when its other member - her partys chairperson - was on the take. . . . a fact he admitted, paying a fine, too - but almost a year later.
Obamas campaign ONLY got through after almost a re-awakening of ALL types of peoples hope in democracy - that, in practical terms, meant a campaign floated by the "little" peoples donations, then argued for in the "caucus" bit of the democrats choice - where the words, the passion, the interactions, the mutual DELIBERATIONS - (a c t u a l democracy) won the day. Sceptics might also mention that they are harder to stitch up with the "accidental" press of a button, or "glitch" in the computerised voting process in other places. (research the vanishing "ron paul" votes in at least one of the primaries - where - as is so often the case - supertech+criminality meant super-stupidcriminality. They wiped ALL the votes for him . . . . that meant there were people in the locality that said EITHER I DONT EXIST OR SOMETHING ODD HAPPENED. Turns out it was a straightforward mistake. Of course. But this does explain the need to hope that people on EACH ticket have the integrity - state by state - to put "cleaning house" above staying the winner. When the palin-smear came up , at least Obamas first reaction was to remind journalists that his mum was only 18 when she had him . . . . both teams have the untypical record of cross-party measures, taking risks for integrity.
. . . . but - why does mccains team need the people that stitched him up?
