Can you feel the Class War all around you?

Still spendid as we head to the 2020s
Yes we are Working Class, yes we live and were brought up on council estates where the Ruling Class think we can be divided and forgotten about. Forced in to Unemployment when it suits them, hidden from view when it suits some of their Institutions... Read more >>

World War One and 100 Years of Counter-Revolution

Otto Dix, Stormtroopers Advance Under Cover of Gas, 1924
One hundred years on from the start of the First World War, Mark Kosman reflects on the nature of war and the class struggle throughout the last century and asks the question: can governments keep up this destructive, murderous fraud?

In 1871, Karl Marx wrote that governments use war as a fraud, a ‘humbug, intended to defer the struggle of the classes’. In 1914, that fraud was so effective that not only most workers but also most Marxists supported their respective nation’s rush to war. Ever since then, governments have used war to defer class struggle and prevent revolution, but this strategy cannot last forever. Read more >>

Newsflash: Labour Doesn’t Care About You

The Class War continues
It turns out the Left can move people – just not very far or in very interesting directions.

Seeing as how these things are usually rained out or freezing, The People’s Assembly at least managed to pick a nice enough day for their “No More Austerity: Demand the Alternative” march on Saturday (June 21st).

It’s a shame they couldn’t also have picked a more inspiring message – begging the government to stop the public service cuts they’re ideologically committed to and demanding a new Labour government as the only ‘alternative’ they can imagine. Hardly an Earth shatteringly radical call to arms for the poor and oppressed. But they do have Russell Brand, so that’s something. Read more >>

Racism in the Netherlands/Party for Freedom, Wilders and the poison of racism

The extreme right wing and Islamophobic Party for Freedom [PVV] of G.
Wilders is a great danger, not only because of its
discriminatory, racist, repressive and hate speech agenda, but also
because of its embracing of causes like anti EU and battle against Dutch austerity measures,
thus reaching people, who are not perse racist, and the cooperation with
European right wing parties as the racist and antisemitic Front National. Read more >>

The film industry is the way?

Dilma Rousseff studies the case under the new Brazilian industrial policy.
Produced at millions of copies, costing pennies each, distributed throughout the country by the Brazilian Film Company and commercialized by legions of heroic fighters of the streets called Street Vendors, these copies are the biggest deterrent to piracy, will enhance the income and dignity of this micro-marketers, will take the national cinema to innumerable Brazilians and to other people, and, sold at popular prices, will make billionaire the Brazilian Film Industry and turn it in a sector able to fulfill its strategic role of consolidating a democratic and plural national identity and of compromising our population with a well-argued and well-supported national project.

Cowardly EDL Try To Disrupt Manchester Anti-fascist Gig #EDL @TheRamanShackle

Alas! The end of the EDL is nigh! The priest has been called and the last rites have already been served on this pathetic excuse of a far right football-powered bootboy organisation. Bearing this in mind, a small pod of fascist footsoldiers have insanely decided they want to go out with all guns blazing in a heavily anti-fascist student area of Manchester. They intend to violently disrupt the anti-fascist benefit gig happening on the 9th of February at the Ram and Shackle pub on Wilmslow Road, Manchester. This is a very popular student pub frequented by a solid anti-fascist 95% student audience from Withington and Fallowfield. Read more >>

China: with a little help from my friends.

總統迪爾瑪·羅塞芙。
Dear friends, the article that you see below, in Mandarin, is that same one "Brazil: structural changes on the way", that I've published here a few days ago. Unfortunately, I have not found no open publishing site, at China. So I ask your help to take our message to the Chinese people, who surely visit your worldwide known site, which is a reference to freedom, all around the world. Thank you, very much indeed. * For those who have not seen it, I do reproduce the original, in English, there at the end. Read more >>

Brazil: Structural changes on the way.

Presidenta Dilma Roussef
Our president also studies rebuilding the soil, flora, fauna and rainfall in semi-arid areas (see map!), Home to 18 million Brazilians and it occupies nearly one million square kilometers. This reconstruction will take place at very low cost, without engineering works, but supported on the natural succession of species, according to a technique called Agroforestry Regenerative Analog System (ARAS), developed and disseminated in Brazil by swiss citizen Ernst Götsch, who is in full activity. latest article on Spain and Miners, & Durham Miners Gala July 14th

The Durham Miners Gala this year promises to be the largest for decades. Already 100K strong recently, the addition of the Labour leader Ed Miliband is likely to tip the numbers higher still if the weather permits. The bands, speeches, marches, banner, Gala field, funfair etc all allow for a great family day out where old and new comrades meet and greet. Read more >>

BBC finally admits western imperialist forces toppled the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya

British special forces were deployed on the ground in order to help the UK's allies - the Libyan revolutionaries often called the National Transitional Council or NTC. Those with a knowledge of the programme insist "they did a tremendous job" and contributed to the final collapse of the Gaddafi regime.
This exposes the apalling collusion of various British left groups and individuals including the SWP, Stop the War, George Galloway and Yvonne Ridley with the forces of western imperialism. Read more >>
