Readers will be familiar with recent attacks on social centres, and other venues, in the wake of the 'On the verge' film tour, and in particular the attack on Leeds' radical social centre The Common Place. http://www.thecommonplace.org.uk/
The Common Place was recently attacked by the council, its entertainment and alcohol licence revoked. The Common Place is therefore under threat since it struggles to have a sustainable income without these licences.
