This evening a group of activists and artists knitted the word 'ARROGANT' onto fencing on Mill Road; the group, calling themselves 'Get Knitted', wanted to protest against Tesco's decision to plow ahead with plans for a store on Mill Road. One person on the scene said that the word was a comment on Tesco's attitude and behaviour.
Tesco's plans have been a cause for concern for many members of the local community, causing residents, business owners, activists and others to unite in the No Mill Road Tesco campaign. A passerby offered the opinion that "David Icke makes more sense" than a Tesco on Mill Road.
