SWP Member Arrested For Displaying Nazi Insignia.....

Equating Nazism and Zionism is not always a good idea.

A signed up member of the SWP has been arrested in Cambridge, within the environs of Peterhouse College for displaying a Nazi Swastika together with the flag of Israel with the narrative "Jews are Nazis". She was taken in by the local constabulary after being reported by nearby persons who felt deeply offended. These people happened to be German exchange students (some of whom were Jewish) who were deeply offended by the ladies sentiments. One commented (via a translation) "it is scary that in this day and age, so called socialists are bringing back the darkest period of German history to replicate the actions of Israel" The lady was taken to the local police station and questioned. She, happily admitted her membership of the SWP and commented to press afterwards that the local SWP had "egged her on and provided the flags"

Personally, I think a more appropiate equation would be the SWP flag and the Swastika.

i was in the swp for about four years and egging people on was nothing new.

party members always did it and watched some poeple go up like fireworks. Like most Trots, the swp like inciting people into taking action and then they stand back and watch.

We all know how vile and disgusting the SWP is, but a proper independent report of this would be far better than anonymous hearsay. If it can't be provided I think it would only be just for the mods to hide this article.

Otherwise it just looks like trolling, probably from the likes of the Islamophobes at Harry's Place. They seem to be on a bit of an anti-SWP crusade, when they're not worshipping Bush and Blair and calling for more countries in the Middle East to get bombed.

What is wrong with this is the ignorance of the SWP and perhaps of the German objectors.

Some of the very first Jews killed on Hitler's instructions were members of the German Nationalist Socialist Party. They were murdered along with Gregor Strasser so that Hitler could take control of that Socialist Party and subvert it to his own ends. So there were Jewish Nazis before it became a Hitlerite Party. It is hard to think of them as Zionists.

Well this site has sunk to new low after letting BNP members to post links to their neo-nazi websites you now accuse the SWP of being in League with them. I am Member of the SWP and any one thought to be nazi would not be allowed through the door. It is amazing what jealousy of the biggest far-left party in the country will do. Of course these rumour mongers hide behind pseudonyms as they are to afraid to post their real names. Of course these people forget the SWP led the biggest Ant-Nazi campaign in the 1970's-80's and made the National Front an irrelevance when a few years previously they where getting thousands of votes. Just why is the left so anti-Israel? Israel is a secular democracy which respects human rights. The left should have a go at Iran, Suadia Arabia or Zimbabwe which are real despotic dictatorships rather than a country which is a free democracy like Israel.
