Cambridge IndyMedia Benefit Gig - Saturday 17th April - Cafe Afrika - 7 'til 11pm

13.04.2004 08:36 | Culture | Indymedia | Cambridge

An evening of live music and film from some of the best bands and artists in Cambridge.

Bandanista: An eclectic mix of world classics with a tongue-in-cheek Afro-Latin twist

Um: In his own words he "produces amateurish free-association lo-fi sound-collages using various sound-making devices which become the backing tapes for array of sad and funny songs that sound like they've broken on the way to the speakers". But he's actually very good

Kassa: West African percussion with Lucas on his Marimba!

Dave Crowbar: Local singer-songwriter playing both cello and guitar (not at the same time though...that would be ridiculous)

Visuals will be provided by Rocket Vision and will be a live mix of original animations and footage from cambridge based media project, Xstream TV

£5/£4 on the door. Food available at Cafe Afrika from 7ish. Kids welcome.
