There will be a planning day in Central Birmingham from 10 till 4 on Saturday April 30th for the mobilisation against the DSEI arms fair in September. This will hopefully be a chance for loads of people from across 'the Midlands' and beyond to come together and plan a summer of actions against the war machine culminating in DSEI in September.
This year there will be a big mobilisation against the biggest arms fair
in Europe - Defense and Security Equipment International,(DSEI) which will
be held at the Excel Centre, London from September 13th to 16th.
There will be a planning day on April 30th in Birmingham to start preparing for
September and to organise actions in the meantime.
The day is open for all the possibilities it brings - ideas so far include
info sharing, research, banner making, action planning, affinity games,
actions, flyer designing..... please come with at least some of the things you'd expect to find :-)
It would be wicked if you could come and bring loads of friends too:-) If
you can't please tell people you think might be up for it.
Many people in this country were against the wars in Iraq and
Afghanistan, against the occupation of Palestine, against the attacks on
Gaza......here's something we can do directly to show our displeasure to
war mongers and to show solidarity with the victims of their oppression!
The venue is the Warehouse, (see below for details) - 2 rooms are booked
(and we will have some outside space available too) from 10 - 4 on April 30th.
There will be drink making facilities available and it'd be great if we could
all bring food and make a communal picnic. Vegan food can be shared with
most people. We'll try and skip some fruit and veg the day before.
