A hunger strike has been planned against Willmott Dixon to protest the new vivisection laboratory being built at Leicester Univeristy.

A hunger strike has been planned against Willmott Dixon to protest the new vivisection laboratory being built at Leicester University.

Willmott Dixon are one of the building contractors whom are helping to build the new laboratory.

The strike will take place at the Coleshill, Birmingham office of Willmott Dixon, where they have been receiving regular protests in which activists have also conducted banner drops from their roof.

Midlands Animal Rights activists want to mount the pressure on the company, and a 3 - 5 days hunger strike will start as of Monday 7th June 2010 at 12 noon outside of their site. We are hoping to publicise this in the local press as much as possible in order to expose Willmott Dixon to the public and thus further the pressure on them to pull out of their contract in helping to build the new vivisection laboratory for Leicester University.

If anyone wishes to attend and show support, their office address is:

Chantry House
High Street,
Coleshill,
Birmingham,
West Midlands
B46 3BP

Tel: 01675 467 666
