12 of the students smuggled toy guns into the fair itself and, whilst
wearing 'Weapons out of Warwick' t-shirts, stood next to the stalls of
the various companies. As they did this, several others took turns to read
(i.e. shout) a statement condemning both the ethical credentials of the
companies present as well as the fact that the University allows them to advertise
on campus. All were ejected by security guards backed up by the police.

Following this, around 15 people staged a die-in at the main entrance to
the building housing the careers fair, whilst a statement (copied below) was read out to those on their way into the fair.

Throughout the day, others stood at the entrance to the careers fair
handing out leaflets detailing the specific crimes of individual companies
inside. Several went to give leaflets to those inside, but they were also thrown
out by security.

This action, similar to others happening constantly across all UK
campuses, was intended to send a message, both to the arms companies themselves -
we will be there wherever and whenever you surface, and to the University -
if you can't take moral accountability seriously, then this disruption will continue.
