We would be discussing anti-displacement movements and Special Economic Zones in Indonesia and the Subcontinent.

We have invited Anto Sangadji, an Indonesian anti-displacement activist, to talk about his work with the indigenous people on various campaigns against forcible eviction and handover of land to transnational coorporations. Thomas Sebastian, a political economist, would be presenting his views on similar phenomenon of south-asian Special Economic Zones.
