London 15 June: Muslim Demo against British Oppression

Attached is the flyer for a protest planned for 15th June 2007, 2:30pm - 5pm at 10 Downing Street.

I don't know anything about this campaign and I don't believe in gods or masters but it's hard to disagree with 90% of the text on the flyer for this protest.

Of course there are not "muslim lands", like these are not "christian lands", there is only one GOD running the world and that is the GOD of the capitalist economy, GUNS, OIL and DRUGS.

That some muslims in the UK think that this war for energy resources is actually a "clash of civisilations" is hardly suprising with Bush and Blair pretending to believe in a god other then their real GOD and after all this is what the neocons want people to think.

This shouldn't prevent people protesting in solidarity with them against the oppression they fase: muslims, animal rights activists and eco protestors are all subject to dawn raids: it's only through united opposition to the police state that it will be defeated: divided we will fall.

if there are muslim lands does that also mean there are christian lands? and buddhist lands and hindu lands.....since when did religion have any legitimate attachment to a land?

pretty sure all the people who were 'peacefully' protesting about the danish cartoons who later got arrested were the good folks carrying placards like behead those who insult islam and the bloke who got dressed up like a suicide bomber. I seriously hope this flyer is a joke. A confrontation between radical Muslims and fascists is going to drag people in on both side. neither side is particulalry attractive. it is time that we woke up and realised that by following people who create and harness hatred in order to come to power like the Respect Party we are allying ourselves with unpleasant people in many situations - like the people who I guess are behind this flyer.

What resist 'UK Repression' with Islamism?

Pepole such as Eco-protestors or whoever who wish to go on this march need to bear in mind that the people protesting here are radical Muslims. When for instance they refer to 'Muslim lands' they actually tend to mean that the whole world belongs to Allah and as such global Sharia is required. If you don't believe me just see what the likes of HBT etc say on the matter or better still what Ed Hussein has said recently. My point is we should protest at injustice but be wary who our bedfellows are, in this case the clerical fascists wanting to 'behead those who insult Islam' and saying things like '9/11 on the way'. As they did at the time of the Danish protests.

I agree avoid this, we the people are the opposition to oppression,
the powers that be are murdering the whole planet, there is far worse things happening in Africa than Iraq & in both places we are being manipulated, people are standing up, but having to use religious funding etc because we are all being robbed by Robberbaron Rockefellers

The British government happily supports the muslim faith, it supports all conservative faiths because they are exactly that; conservative.

This poster has to be a joke drawn up by fash, either that or the honest work of a Respect candidate ; )

All religion is reactionary, christianity was used for many years to justify the rule of kings, Islam was used as an excuse to butcher revolutionary workers and progressive womens groups in iran in 1979, we should have no more truck with pious fundamentalists than we should with fascists, both are lead weights around the feet of progressive working class movements.

The British government oppresses british people of all creeds and colours, religion divides us and allows them to continue with this oppression.

Muslim Lands: Oil Rich Lands

The Anglo-Americian Empire cares nothing about religion, other than as another tool for divide and rule tactics, why are Muslims being attacked my the mainstream? Because the "Muslim Lands" are rich in oil:
