Drop Beats not Bombs is back after its hiatus in November - the last event was cancelled by the 'powers that be'. The bi-yearly anti-war event donates all of it's profits to CND and the Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT) and it's the biggest line-up to date. The event encompasses a broad spectrum of sounds and styles from Techno to Drum & Bass and Punk to Hard House. It also features a cinema room hosted by Birmingham Indymedia.
The flier includes a subverted image of the execution of Saddam Hussein but this time Tony Blair is hanging from the hangman's noose. Tony Blair is equally as guilty as Saddam Hussein for war crimes. Blair is responsible for the genocide of over 650,000 Iraqi people and Parliament has also recently voted for the replacement of Britain's Trident nuclear war-head system - a new system of weapons of mass destruction. Tony Blair should face the same war crimes trial as Saddam Hussein.
