Food Not Bombs back on the streets!

member of Brum FnB | 23.11.2006 01:19 | Anti-militarism | Birmingham

After a few months break, Birmingham Food Not Bombs are restarting their fortnightly food servings in the City Centre this Saturday. Come to eat and get involved! Brum FnB will be helping to create a non-consumerist zone for Buy Nothing Day.

Brum FnB will be serving free food outside Tescos on New Street from 2.00 pm on Saturday 25th November. This is also Buy Nothing Day  http://www.buynothingday.co.uk/ so we are supporting the creation of a non-consumerist zone with a Free Shop, Info stall, music and a space to socialize rather than to shop. Come down and help reclaim some of the shopping centre of Europe! Bring any musical instruments to join in a jam or donations for the free shop.

Brum FnB is a non-hierarchical group – there are no leaders and all are welcome to get involved that share the general aims of anti-militarism, and a belief in a world based on people's needs and not on profit. Help with collecting food, cooking, serving, playing music, designing publicity, gardening on the FnB allotment, etc
